Title: Buckshot in XF
Post by: tha bugman on January 24, 2016, 07:58:51 AM
Is it ok to shoot buckshot through an XF in my 10ga or do I need to get a full?

If the buckshot is lead, I would not think it would hurt your gun or choke. However, I think your pattern will be much better with a more open choke that does not deform the pellets as badly on exit from the barrel. You may need to call the manufacturer and ask them what they recommend. I shoot lead #4 buck through a .685 non ported sumtoy and it shoots good.
