Title: strutting fall gobbler
Post by: otinhunter on December 23, 2015, 10:46:28 AM
This morning I was set up on a group of gobblers that I have been after on and off all fall season. This morning they flew down just over the hill from me. I thought they had moved off and I crept over that way thats when I saw my first fall gibbler strutting. There was a total of 8 toms. I ended up getting spotted by one of the birds I believe not sure. They moved off the other way but in no hurry though.
My question is should I set up a full strut decoy in the morning when I go back out or just the jake decoy or both. I do have a total of 3 jakes and a full strut.

Any male decoy you want to use, use it. Have fun and good luck.
