Title: 20ga CVA scout single shot
Post by: BigEz on November 18, 2015, 10:57:04 PM
I found one of those 20ga cva scout single shots in my local Academy the other day and I'm really wanting to pick it up especially for the price they have it at. I searched on here and saw a few posts about them and saw someone say they are threaded for mossberg chokes? Would just a 510 bantam choke or 500 20ga chokes work in it? I'm running FHW 7s in my other rigs so I would love to stick with them. I'm using an ssx in my 20ga 11-87 with great patterns and I see they have an ssx for 20ga mossbergs so I would like to start there if it would work. Any help would be much appreciated.

Does it have fiber optic sight?  My daughter has a .243 Scout and I really like it. Sorry I can't help you out on the choke.

I understand it is indeed the Mossberg 20 gauge choke, so any other Mossy choke should fit.
I shoot the factory choke out of mine with the Federal HW 7s'.  Running about 140 in the magical 10" circle at 40 yards.
They are sweet little guns.

Allow me to correct my last post.  Those numbers are 35 yard numbers with the factory choke.  It's the grandkids gun and I feel like 35 is a good max range for them.  Love the gun, I carry it some when they aren't with me.
