27 Aug. Mr. Sidney went to be with the Lord. at the age of 82 He just could not recover from a car accicent that also claimed the life of another lady.
I got real close to Mr. Sid about 20 years ago when I walked with him though a long process of losing his wife to cancer. He allowed he to help him build a table out of white oak , then he gave me the table, and we have eaten on it science that time. that just a small illustration of his character.
Mr. Sid also was a great turkey hunter who killed hard hunted public land Mississippi birds before and after his 81st. birthday, using his own hand made calls .
I am sure going to miss him, and I am asking yall to pray for me as I have the honor and the privlage of preaching his funeral.

Sorry for your loss , may God bless him , he is in a better place than all of us now :bible: :cross2:
I had the privilege of talking with "Preacher" and he told me what a fine man Mr. Shaw was during his life time. "Preacher" performed Mr. Shaw's funeral and I could tell that there was a very close relationship.
My conversation meant a lot to me as I have one of the "Big Turk" calls that was marketed under the name of C.H. Butler but was actually made by Mr. Shaw. Always sorry to see one of the fine call makers pass on. We lose a lot of history, character and talent with the passing of these individuals!
Prayers to you & Mr Shaw's family.
My dad had a country store in the 70's & 80's and sold Big Turk calls by C H Butler. I killed a bunch of them with an "Old Hen" Scratch Box, I wish I still had it. I didnt know Mr SHaw made them.
RIP
Sorry for your loss
