Title: Old School
Post by: hunter22 on June 06, 2015, 12:40:00 PM
Here is my Lonnie Sneed 3-inch slate/wood pot call I have had for several years. LOTS of gobblers fell in love with this call. It is shown with a couple of my hand whittled strikers. The top one is spalted Persimmon and the bottom one is a White Dogwood. Both were made from limbs I picked up on my farm. I am not sure if Lonnie still makes this smaller slate call.

Love running and hearing this pot. It is pure hen turkey!

Very cool! I recently picked up one of his hot hen slates. Not the prettiest call, but it sure does sound sweet.

He does not make them anymore. I've got one of those smaller ones as well probably 30+ years old and will still sing with his lotus striker. It's funny I asked him about them the last time we talked and it was one of the first pots he started making and used to sell them for $5 each.

Just had to show off my Sneed pot that plays well with the same woods, persimmon and dogwood.
