Another season has come and gone.
Out of 6 guys we managed 11 birds in 3 states.
One guy got a bird in ma, nh and me
while 2 of us got birds in 2
4 of us assisted 5 new hunters to their first bird.
2 of the new hunters were youths.
The lightest tom was 15.5 lbs and 2nd lightest was 16. Both nh birds. Check in station said alot of light birds were coming in.
Heaviest bird was 24.5 lbs.
Longest beard was 10 1/2"
2 birds had 1 1/8" spurs
All told there was 7 misses. I learned I need to go back to a scoped gun as 4 of the misses from me.
2 of us put more time than we should've in to season wreckers and neither one was shot. Though it did account for 2 of the misses.
