Title: What kind of pot?
Post by: Slowshoe on May 13, 2015, 06:18:49 PM
So I'm looking to get something new, I have a slate that I can work pretty well so I'm looking for something other than slate. Although the only pot call I have ever used was a slate, but I want to switch it up.
Looking for the best (semi easy) call under $50..
Any recommendations?

Check out the sale out Mack's Prairie Wings. They have their friction calls marked down and have several good ones less than $50.

I'd troll the classifieds until I found a Halloran Crystal Mistress or Twisted Sister in your price range.

I second this. Or just muster up the extra $15 and buy a new Crystal Mistress. You will NOT regret it!

I was gonna say Cane Creek pro glass too.  I would pay the sixty bucks though and get a Roberts Brothers glass with small slate on the back. So you have both options.

Lights Out glass or ceramic. Sneed Outlaw Hen.

Add a little cash and a Loftis Crystal Screamer is one of the best calls out there!

I have calls from some of the most decorated callmakers in NWTF history, but for the money you mentioned and the fact that you are fairly new to pot calls, I would definitely recommend the Sneed outlaw hen avove the others. It is extremely user friendly for glass and sounds fantastic.
It is a true hunting call and I guarentee you will not be dissapointed!!!
