Title: Outfitter / Guide - KS, NE, SD, ND
Post by: FL-Boss on May 10, 2015, 01:50:54 PM
I'm looking to start planning for next year. Want to do a semi guided hunt - private land,  in either Kansas, Nebraska, South or North Dakota.  Somewhere in that area, open to surrounding areas. Rio or Merriam.

Any recommendations?  Any details, links you can provide would be great!

i can give you contact info on very reasonably priced hunt in KS.  i can do the same in NE though i'm not sure i would recommend him.  we hit it wrong 2 yrs ago or would've killed birds but he isn't real high on my list of references.

I can also get you some info for a good hook up in kansas on some good ground.  This will be in the Minneapolis area above Salina.  Nice area and seemingly good population of turkeys too

word of caution..google brings up misty morning outfitters when you search rio hunts in kansas...steer clear of this.  they kill birds no doubt...130+ in 2014 and on the way to 100 this spring...BUT, what is that going to do to the population?  hunting for the number and greed.  couple of bad experiences with them myself

If thinking of these fellas do A little research into their interactions with KDWP, USFWS and local landowners.

^ right.  They have been in trouble with the DNR on snow goose hunts... the reason Ryan warden stepped out and matt Yancey now owns it.
I also know they got land but didn't tell the owners of that land they were running an outfit and charging others to hunt that land..I was told a lot by a guide last spring that didn't think not to tell that info.
