Title: Drawing on bones
Post by: Flashover2178 on April 26, 2015, 06:17:38 PM
Hello guys I've just started making some wingbone calls and need some help. I've seen some awsome calls with some cool art work on the calls. What type of pen or marker do you use to draw on the bones ? Then what do you use to seal it so it won't run or smear or rub off. Thanks in advance for the help.

Like to know as well. Ive made a couple and wrote on them with a fine tip sharpe and then clear coated. but a few spots started to bleed under the clear.

I use archival ink, acid free, then cover with a two part epoxy rod finish.

Thanks for that info I will look into that. I have turned out some pretty good ones for being my first attempt at it.I would like to do some drawing on them the only problem is the good Lord didn't grace me with one switch of drawing ability so I have been practicing on some scrap paper hoping I can get it to turn out looking something like a feather or a turkey track. Thanks again for help
