Going to try some3.5" 2.25 #6 h13 through my 24" 870. I have a primos jh.665 and tightwad .660 and a factory Rem Super Full. Is any shooting this load and if so what chokes are working for you?
Either of those Primos chokes should do the trick. my 870 didnt care for the 6s but I believe it's just my gun.

Same experience here with the 6's. Mag blends and longbeard 5's and 6's were a far cry better.(3.5")
Not is a Remington but my 835 with 24" barrel and star dot (.676) averages 210 in the 10" at 40. It really lays a hurting on ole Tom!

I have tried LB #4, h13 #5, mag blends
Through both of those chokes in a 24" 870 mine is a Carlsons replacment barrel and I got 141, 110, 160 in that order.... With the titewad. It actually out performed the jellyhead to me as the jellyhead had more gaps.... The long beards are so tight I ordered a scope because it was so tight !!! The magblends gave the most forgiving pattern with room for error around the 10" circle. I would imagine you will be very happy with both chokes and that load. The tightwad is also a little shorter out of the barrel which I like.
My 870 gets along with a jellyhead about like a coonhound does with a tom cat. Mine dose well with several chokes Indian creek, Jebs, Sumtoy, Ballistic Specialties, just to name a few.
I am reminded over and over fooling with these guns how they are all different. Two 21" 870's and they like completely different loads and chokes. Each one of my turkey guns has absolutely been a project.

I have messed with 1 short barreled 870 and a 24" Gold, both of these have been more of a pain than any 26-30" barreled gun I have ever messed with. No more pipes under 26" for me and am currently thinking about a 30" BPS.

Allot of truth to that. I have 26-28" bbl's that I can just run double beads on and finding a good hunting pattern is easier. I can find good hunting patterns with the old school lead loads.
