Title: Tactical Turkey Guns Pros & Cons
Post by: scubasteve on April 14, 2015, 10:28:12 AM
What are the Pros & Cons of tactical turkey guns? I'm talking tactical pistol grip stocks, recoil reduction, etc. I built an 870 20 ga with a Knoxx SpecOps Recoil stock on it, but have never carried it in the woods to hunt. After taking it to the range a couple of times, I believe I am going to take the Knoxx stock off and go back to some kind of conventional stock.

I think its more of preference rather than an advantage.  I have pistol stocks on all my turkey guns and wouldn't have one without it, but it's just what I like.  I can't believe one is more accurate than the other as I have missed with both.   :goofball:

I think you are probably right Gopher, just put the knoxx stock here in the classifieds. I can get a convential stock that is probably cheaper and lighter.

I wouldn't have a turkey without a pistol grip stock it gets your fingers out of the way and helps you to look down the sights better. I will never go back to a regular stock..also the pistol grip stock helps you control the gun resting on your knee in the ground blind.
