Title: 835 with pistol grip?
Post by: wisconsinteacher on February 09, 2011, 11:17:55 AM
Is having a pistol grip on an 835 a big pain due to the saftey and pump release button?

It is not as convienent for sure.  I replaced the safety with a more grippy aftermarket button and that helped.  I can push it off with my index finger now.  The slide release there is no solution for.  You just gotta reach for it.  Still the advantage of the grip makes me willing to live with the inconvienance.

I have the 935 pistol grip with the safety on top and have never seen it as a problem.  Just ease your hand up push the safety off before the bird gets too close.  Love the pistol grip for turkey!!

yes but worth it. The 870 is better designed.
