With my son out of town, I ended up taking a friend's son for the first 2 days of the Iowa Youth Turkey Season. We had a gobbler coming in on Saturday but another pair of hunters walked in on us and bumped the bird. Sunday we heard less gobbling but we ended up getting in tight on a nice tom. My hunting partner Logan shot his gobbler at 8:35 on Easter Sunday. His first ever turkey! A really good Iowa turkey...... 23#, 10" beard, and sharp 1 1/4" spurs. Here are a few pictures of how the morning progressed. Great job Logan!!
