Finally got to Florida for a shot at the Osceola. Beautiful weather, birds were singing, hunting was good. Planned the hunt for a year, over in 40 min. Best bird I've taken in several years, 21#, 12" beard
1 1/8" Spurs. DC Cattle Company, first class.

What a great bird... Over in 40 minutes, but that would be a tough bird to pass on by any standards.

Time for fishing now? Or are you going to try to put a tag on another bird?

Thanks for the kind comments guys. As stated earlier only 40 min. Long but memories for a lifetime.
That was just as good a hunt as I have ever had. Totally different hunting than what I was used too,
Lots of small islands of trees with very open pastures around them. Would be very hard to move on a bird, glad it worked out he came to us.
Area is near Polk City, FL, it was on the DC Cattle company property. They advertise here, great people, good eats and place to stay, very good Turkey hunting. Highly recommended.

I have to agree with everything Roy said . I hunted at DC with Roy . I killed a nice bird also . He killed a great bird . My hunt lasted about 20 minutes . The ranch was great an the people even better . Beautiful property . I will return in a few years when my slam is complete .

Brian, depends on what type hunt you want. They won't let you hunt by yourself, they have someone with you that knows the area. If you want to do the calling, he will set up a good ways behind you and it's all yours. Or, he will do the calling if someone is just starting out and needs some advice. Or anywhere inbetween.
