Title: Box call chalk?
Post by: ThunderChickenGetter on March 22, 2015, 10:32:36 PM
What chalk do you guys use on your boxes? Any maintenance tips would be appreciated as I am new to the box call world. I've had boxes before but never a good one. New call should be here soon.

You should contact the callmaker to see which chalk he is using. Myself I use a red oil free carpenter chalk. Primos sale a small pack of red chalk you can get it at most sporting good. That will be the easiest and fastest way to get some. BUT I would still contact the call maker

I concur with strutnrut. Perhaps the call will come with some chalk which is not unheard today.

Just make sure its oil free and your fine.  I personally like the half-round blue carpenters chalk.

I just ordered a large quantity of call chalk from the company that purchased Walbuck Chalk. They no longer offer the brown chalk, only the brick red. When I receive my order, I'll get some in the classifieds.
