What's everyone's thoughts on copper pot calls? It's the only surface I don't have and thinking bout getting one. Who are some guys from here that make good ones
Ya gotta have at least one of every surface! At least I have too. I like my Mike Yingling copper best.

I have pots in all surface material. But over the years. I find in order of preference and my kills using a pot call Crystal first, then glass, slate, ceramic , aluminum and copper my least killer. There a few other materials out there, but I don't plan on buying them. This is just one mans experience!
Yingling makes a real nice copper as does John Sinclair.
Mike Yingling and Larry Gresser.
I have a John Sinclair 3" coper that is a sweet sounding call....but I think I perfer his brass over the copper....brass has such a unique sound to it.
Good choices so far. Check out Wiggin Game Calls on facebook, he makes a real good copper call.
Bill Baublit makes a great copper pot.And a very nice looking call .Runs great in rain with his acrylic tip strikers. Kevin
I'm not the biggest fan of copper, but they do sound turkey. To me, its just takes too much conditioning to keep the sound right.
Here's a video I made last year running a kee kee on it.

I've read lots of reviews saying that Mike Yingling makes a great copper pot call. I've done a search but can't seem to find a website or a way to order one. Anyone know to purchase one?

I own all these mentioned and Larry Gresser hands down IMHO

Well said Mike! I love the sound of copper but not everyone does. Some people press down too hard when all it takes is a light touch with the right striker.
I know a lot of people like them because I sell a ton of them each year.
Bill
I like copper. it has its own unique sound.
I love mine, it's made by Turkmagnet, you
Can get soft and really make it scream
Too, everyone talks about how much you
Have to condition them, but I don't
Have that problem, my favorite call
Yingling..
Take that advice a few posts up.. Calls soft and sweet on them copper turkey killers.
I really like a Yingling copper. I run it with the carbon striker that comes with the call and a Gresser Ebony striker.
I just got my first copper call. Its a yingling flamed ash copper/glass.Im very impressed with it so far.It does everything my favorite pot calls can do(Hot Hen+Crystal Mistress).Loud, shrill, yelps and cutts and you can tone it right down for soft purrs and tree yelps.Definately a great addition to my arsenal.I like the 3" size they come in it seems more comfortable in the hand while playing compared to bigger pots.
yingling copper, I run mine with the fiber rod striker when wet and dymond wood when dry...it is one fine sounding call. it did its job first trip to the woods here in Alabama
Yingling, also guy to deal with also
