Title: Mag Blend Question
Post by: tonybforua on March 10, 2015, 07:31:32 PM
Would POI be different on 3" mag blends versus 3.5s? I patterned some 3.5s a buddy a let me try and like them. But didn't enjoy the recoil. Shooting a 835 with a Indian Creek Choke.  Just curious before I go buy some? If I bought the 3s I'd shoot one to see how it done but just don't want to waste 5 shells sighting scope in again.

Might be a tad lower and spread a bit wider....  but should be the same.

May or may not depending on the gun. I would just stick to the 3" shells. Good luck. :turkey2:

I tried both and POI was different between mag blend 3" and mag blend 3.5". The 3" mag blends shot to the left. Every gun is different

I would at least take the time to try one before drawing down on a bird.

Hmmm. Strange.  I had very similar situation recently shooting 3" magblends through an I.C. .665 choke in a BPS. POI was FAR left, Even at 20 yds. There could be many variables at play, but in my case, it was consistent across several brands of lead shells as well. Equipment ?

They don't kick bad at all when you are shooting at a turkey.   :TooFunny:
That's all I shoot in my gun.
