So I went to pattern my M2 20 with a Trulock .570 choke yesterday. Had cleaned my gun the day before. First 2 shots at 40 yds had pellets everywhere, about 90-100 in 10" circle. Changed chokes shot several shots at different ranges. Decided to switch back to .570 and shot 3 more. These shots averaged 139 in a 10" circle @ 40yds, nice even patterns.
Any thoughts on why my patterns improved after shooting several shots? Has anyone else experienced similar results? BTW, conditions were same though out patterning session.
Thanks for any insights.
Barrel warming up, gun likes a dirty barrel instead, choke broke in some to name a few.

Could be cleaning solvent or oil residue left in barrel and choke? Could try denatured alcohol to remove traces
