Title: Quit Gobblin
Post by: rmh611 on March 22, 2011, 12:11:49 PM
Hunting in Mississippi and been hearing up to 5 gobblers in morning. Last few days not heard a gobble and the hens are not as vocal. Could it be the 80 degree weather, big bright moon, or just the hunting pressure? We are quite going in and out as not to disturbe but I am sure they know we are there. Any suggustions on the vanishing turkeys?

First thing, don't assume that they've vanished or even that your presence has shut 'em up.  Gobbling can cycle on and off a lot.  There could be a ton of things factoring in, so just keep doing what you're doing.  What choice have ya got?   :D
