Title: Danner Snake boot question
Post by: chefrific on February 18, 2015, 05:34:00 PM
Considering buying a pair of Danner Jackal snake boots.  I've heard some say that they run small.  Is that true?

I bought a pair of Jackals about 4 or 5 years ago and ordered an 11 wide, which is my shoe size.  They are comfortable, with a thin pair of socks on.  Last year, I picked up a pair off E-bay, that were a 12, and I wear them more than the 11's.  If I were to buy another pair, I would order a size larger than I normally wear.

I have worn a lot of Danners and usually get 1/2-1 size larger.

I just sent back my second attempt at a pair of Cabela's boa snake boots.  First were defective and the second pair was just plain painful.
I sent them back in exchange for a pair of Danner Jackal's.
I usually wear a 10 1/2 D, but Ordered a the Danners in 11 EE.

I felt that the width was the biggest issue with sizing. I went up a full size and found them to be too tight. I went with a pair of pronghorns and have logged a lot of miles over some pretty rough terrain, and could not be happier.
