I just bought a used browning bps with a 26" barrel. I need to buy a choke tube for turkey hunting and I'm trying to decide on a browning full or xfull. Any suggestions on why one over the other? Most of the time I shoot 3.5" loads.
If you buy the Browning factory choke I would get the X Full for turkey. Lots of other good choke options out there...some BPS users may chime in with advice.
Unless you can get those factory chokes dirt cheap, you might as well buy an aftermarket tube.
Neither...
Pure Gold .660 for small shot...
IC .665 for most shells...
HS .667 for most shells...
I use all these in my 24" NWTF BPS in 3.5"...

First of all welcome to OG. We're glad you're here. Browning recommends a .640 choke for your gun and their turkey choke is an excellent choice. Another excellent choice is the SSX. It has great internal geometry and works very well in the .742 bore barrels like your BPS.
You may want to take a look at the Turkey Country magazine that's on its way to you later this week, in which I compare 32 different chokes through 6 different guns with WLB shells.
I think you'll find it most informative.
Thanks,
Clark
.665 constriction works real good in these. Pick a couple of the top brands and get to the pattern board!!
If it is invecter put 660 if it is invecter plus put 675
Couple years back i went through an extensive search for the ultimate BPS choke. Tried a bunch of chokes and various lead/tungsten shells.
Hope this pic of my spreadsheet helps.
Call SumToy and order one of his!!!!
