A review I did today of a new friction call I picked up Saturday, hand-made by the guys @ Straight Creek; this thing sounds *wonderful* to my ears!!

Saylor makes a great call. Picked one up a few years ago in a maple pot, double sided glass and slate. Full of turkey. Makes the vest every year.

I like the glass on the back side and slate on the front. More volume and versatility from the back than the opposite. Good job!

Thx Mike, and I agree with you 100%!  I tried all of their calls, and TO ME, the slate top w/glass bottom seemed to be the very best "option" out of the double-sided calls they've made...  But all of their calls sounded great to my ears...  You could kill birds with all of 'em, but ...  the slate top over glass bottom DID IT for me; it also matches VERY WELL with your box calls, Mike!!!
