Title: Suggestions on turkey choke for Mossberg Bantam 500 20 gauge
Post by: El Pavo Grande on February 15, 2015, 11:55:47 AM
My son's Mossberg Bantam 500 20 gauge shoots a decent pattern (Hevi Mag Blends) with the factory choke, but I would like to improve it.  Any suggestions on a specific choke for this gun?  Thanks.

My bantam loves undertaker choke with fed hw#7. I also polished the bore an it increased my number. its getting
bout 150-180 in 10 @40yd. got some tss handload #9 that was deadly last season getting around 250 in 10@ 40yd.

When I had one( don't any more) it really liked a undertaker non ported hd .582.  I thank I payed 10 bucks for it.   I shot chokes that put up bigger numbers, but that choke gives you a real life huntin pattern    That chokes in an h&r now with the same results.    I'm pretty sure I found one the other day on ebay for around 15-20 bucks.   I would also try a tightwad .570 and maybe a tru glo ssx.  I sure would try to et you're hands on some fed hw 7.   It really made a difference for me, and if you're boy is recoil sensitive or small , you can get 2/34 with 11/8 ounce a shot in them.  Good luck

Set up a bantam last spring for my nephew, he was 9, stuck a tru glo gobble stopper and some mag blends in it... Puttin 130 in the 10" at 40yds consistently.  However the factory tru glo sights that came on it shot way high. Stuck a set of pro series on it and loved it ever since.
