Any thoughts on this pattern at 25 yds. using a Rhino choke shooting Nitro H321 4x5x7
I sighted in a scope at this distance. Temp. 70 degrees.
Suggest you find a place to hang your beards and spurs if you use it on turkeys.

I bet that encore kills on both ends with those nitros. Pattern looks good.

How big is the target and what are the numbers.
Looks good should bring a gobbler home with you. :OGturkeyhead:
That looks pretty open for a 25 yard pattern. Did you shoot it at 40?
I haven't shot it at 40 yds. My shooting range is only 25 yds. I was wondering if it was tight engough for 25 yds. Temperature was between 65 and 70 which I know the hotter temps will cause the pattern to spread open more so than colder temps. I think it has a even pattern.
This is a 12"x12" target. There is a total of 274 within the circle and 31 outside of target totaling 305 in the whole target. There is 230 shots in the 10" circle. This was shot at 25 yds. with temp being around 68 degrees. Could not shoot at 40 yds. WHAT DO YALL THINK???
What is the constriction on your rhino?
.660 Constriction

230 in a 10" circle at 25 yards with Nitros is WAY off. Your 40 yard numbers should be higher than that. IMO there's a big problem here. That might not even be a killing pattern at 40 yards.
But at the same time I will say I don't know jack about the TCs so maybe this is the norm but I doubt it.
You really need to shoot at 40 bc I think you may have more pellets in the target than you think. A shot at 25 yards is gonna be real tight with shell so you may have 4 or 5 pellets in one hit. You will have a much better idea at 40 bud.
Thanks for everyone input. I will try and find a place where I can shoot 40 yds.

I agree 100%.
My 11-87 puts up those numbers in 10"
At 50 yards.
Something is amiss
I wonder if you're over constricting with that choke. Might try a .665 or .670
Forgot to mention that this is a 3" shell not 3 1/2".
Just about every gun & choke combo I own shoots that well at 25 yards....the changes start to show up further out....

Can you tell me what I might expect at 40 yds. The general rule is 100 pellets in 10" circle at 40 yds.
Do I need to keep looking for a tighter pattern at that distance in your opinion?

Don't see many Nitro 3" numbers but I think you should be shooting 230-250 at 40 yards. 100 is the number people don't like to fall below.
Recomendations at Nitro website is 170-200 pellets in 10" circle at 40 yds. Only thing is my shooting range is only 25 yds. Hard to find somewhere to shoot at 40 or better. Think I need to keep looking for a better combination.
Nitro Company recommends the H378C for that gun with the Rhino .660 - I doubt that matters a whole lot but the H321 may want to be opened up a tad in that gun like others have mentioned... Although the older 870's 3" loves the .660 and H321...
