Oldgobbler friends,
We are JL Custom Turkey Calls, founded in the great North Woods of Plymouth, New Hampshire. I am an active duty Marine currently stationed in NC and my father-in-law is a NH carpenter of 30 years. Together we have built up our brand in the Northeast and are taking our passion to the rest of the industry. Our goal is to provide the highest quality box call at the lowest price.
Our calls are of the highest quality and are each handmade from single blocks of wood through a lengthy veneer process. We use 10 types of wood, including exotics, to make 25 Combinations of box calls. Our available wood includes Bloodwood (limited supply), Lacewood, Osage Orange, Purpleheart, Padauk, Curly Maple, Mahogany, Walnut, Cherry and Birdseye Maple.
Visit our website and the "BUILD YOUR OWN BOX CALL" link with our easy to do interactive builder. You can even see and hear your call in action!!
Friends, Give us a chance to earn your trust and a place in your turkey vest this spring. Satisfaction is guaranteed.

I'll take a look. Good luck!
Sold out.
Bloodwood is our rarest wood offered and is hard to find! We sure do sell out of them fast. I suggest Padauk or Lacewood as our other Raspy sounding call options. Thanks for the input! JL
Pushing your product too much. Hunters sell calls for call makers. Some of your options are backwards as well, Purpleheart should be available for a box lid.
We appreciate your honesty David. Our calls are unique and sell themselves but thanks for your input
Not trying to give you a hard time or be a jerk but if they are selling themselves there would be no need to start clogging up forums with so many posts. Word of mouth sells more turkey calls than anything.
Our goal is to spread the passion! As a young and growing company, we appreciate all input...including criticism. It will only help us become more successful, so thanks again!

Your calls look nice. IMO, people who push sub quality products on this forum hurt there business more than anything else.Anybody remember the guy pushing spectra shot last year? Its very hard to sell snake oil here. The best turkey hunters in the country frequent this forum so your gonna need to drop the marketing campaign and put some more work into your calls if you want to be successfull selling calls to members of OG. Hope that wasnt to harsh for ya but i call em like i see em.
Thats respectable. As a Marine, I always appreciate a straight-shooter who isn't afraid to call a spade a spade. I have made mistakes in how we've been trying to get our calls out there. Im new at this marketing thing, and forums, etc. lol. But its a round down range at this point and theres no getting it back.
I stand by our calls and the craftsmanship that goes into them. Though I disagree you, I respect your "subpar" opinion of our calls, and want to let you know that with every call we build we try to improve.
At the end of the day however, we'll take it with a grain of salt and try to earn the trust of our fellow hunters by any means. We'll start with a different approach. Thanks for your input, we appreciate you.
