Is a trigger job worth the reward and is this something a smith would need to do or could an aftermarket be purchased.
I believe a good trigger job is worth having done.
I did mine myself, it's a fairly easy job.
I use a gunsmith in Kansas who has built rifles for me. His main jobs are building release triggers for competition trap shooters so he knows his way around a trigger system. Nice thing about most shotgun triggers is all you need to ship is the trigger group/assembly. I spoke to him recently and he would like to do more turkey guns. If anyone is interested just pm me and I will get you his contact info.
Just buy the Timney kit. It's an easy install and is MUCH better than the factory trigger.
patriot sear spring for $10.No gunsmith needed easy install. It really made a noticeable difference on my 870.
thanks for the replies guys. I may go the spring only route for now.
