Both my girls got the bucks they were after this weekend in Ohio youth season. They both hunted pretty hard with the crossbow but never had shots at bucks they wanted. Things worked out good for them with the slug guns tho. Easton, who is 8, killed a buck we called snoopy. We are pretty sure he was 9 1/2 yrs old based on years of pictures. The last 2 years his 8pt frame has gotten smaller. He lost a eye this year and had a new arrow wound. The old boy was best up. Saturday morning I grunted him in and Easton clobbered him at 45 yds. I was glad she got him but it feels like I lost a buddy....
Sunday morning 12 yr old Mekayla got a buck she called the tall 8. He chased a yearling doe nearly into our laps. She made a great shot and ended a perfect youth weekend.
