Thanks mgm, this is 1 of 6 , the last of my rosewood. The board has been in my shop for 25 years. Most of it was usedfor a table restoration. I decided the remainder would be best suited as calls.

The best all around striker on Glass , slate and medals , the Black African wood can't be beat. Super hard end grain. $35. Ea, I have 6  turned.

If your going to work African Blackwood the only way to bring out the tones of the wood is to take the sanding to 600-10000 grit. My favorite for any surfaces, this is the African with a high finish;
