Title: 1st Fall Hunt
Post by: CMBOSTC on October 31, 2014, 07:58:15 AM
The MD fall turkey season starts tomorrow 1 Nov. and it's the first fall hunt that I've taken. Any advise? I won't be using dogs.

Locate a flock, find where they roost and you should have some fun. I have heard more gobbling this fall than any year in the past. Good luck!

Sorry for the late post. I did relatively well with out harvesting a bird. I had a flock of mixed birds come in to me one morning. I had spotted them the evening before and was able to set up on them close to their roost site. However, after I left the previous evening they moved a little further and came in behind me the following morning. I had 8 birds within 30 yards but behind me. Needless to say, I got busted. It was a blast though. I'll be back next fall.
