Title: Ooooh That Smell, Can't Ya Smell That Smell
Post by: GomerPyle on September 05, 2014, 10:36:28 AM
Last night I was digging through my hunting closet looking for my light breathable pants/shirt to wear tomorrow for our dove shoot.  I couldn't find them at first, but finally found them buried in the back of the closet.

Apparently when I took them off after the last morning of turkey season, I threw them in there and completely forgot to dig them out and wash them.

They still smell like bug spray.

I closed my eyes and, for a moment, I was back in the turkey woods sitting against a tree.  It's the little things in life....

My mind went to an estrous doe accident.

When you mentioned doves, I thought about the time I "lost" a dove in my vest.  At least I got to buy a new vest, because no amount of baking soda could ever take that smell away.

My old headnet has the smell DEET permanently infused into it.
