The moving van however is a different story. Hopefully, it will be here later this week.
Fortunately, we are able to stay with our son and his family until everything arrives. So, all is well.
We are in and out doing things at the new place, no Internet hook-up there yet, so can't be very regular here for a while.
Hope to visit again soon.
Thanks,
Clark
Welcome to the hot, dry, sunny, south.
Welcome to God's country Clark!
I am east of you about 2 hours!
Welcome to the South Clark! What part of S.C. if you don't mind me asking? I'm a N. Georgia native. Hope ya'll get settled soon!
Y'all will love the thick humid air that y'all breathe...... Don't worry y'all won't drown.
Welcome to the steamy, hot, humid south.
Bob
Thank you all for the welcome!
We're in Simpsonville and so glad to be here.
We're looking forward to getting settled and getting our "stuff" here.
Thanks,
Clark
We carried some things here in the cars and our son had visited a couple of weeks ago and brought some things as well, so that has kept us busy.
It will be so good just to get settled and get all the things done that are necessary when you move from one state to another.
Folks here have been so helpful and understanding, we feel very welcome.
Headed out now to do more work at our place to be ready for the movers tomorrow.
Thanks,
Clark

I'll be moving to just outside Traveler's Rest this summer. Won't be far from you at all.
Welcome to the south, you came at the most opportune time with the summer heat, humidity and afternoon thunderstorms are just beginning.
Will you be able to continue to shoot as often at your new place as you were able to at the old?
Glad you made it safely.
Yeh, it's hot in the summer. But you may never shovel snow again. :icon_thumright:
Thank you all!
We are looking forward to the whole experience! I hope to be able to meet as many of our new SC neighbors, OG folks, as possible. We've spent a good bit of time here over the years visiting our son and at various shooting events. Folks have made us feel right at home.
I believe that we have a situation worked out so that I can continue my work, shooting, etc. We need to finalize that however. I did pick up about 80 lbs. of HS from my range before we left. The new owners can harvest much more over time.
I really need to get caught up on my writing on several unfinished projects and evaluations.
I hope to never shovel snow again.
Thanks,
Clark
glad you made it safe

:agreed: I miss living in the south. May your time in SC be just as pleasurable for you as it was for me. God Bless Clark.....
Today is the day! The movers should be here to deliver our "stuff" in just about an hour.
Doris and I will be headed that way shortly to meet them.
It will be a long day but that's okay. Our son and his family have been so kind sharing their home with us for the past week but it will be nice for everyone to be in our own home.
Thanks,
Clark
Sir. It is our supreme honor to have ya amongst us! Even though the "standard" for becoming an honorary southerner is 25 years, be advised that the old standard has been lifted in your case.
All kidding aside, i am in Oconee County Georgia about 1 hr from SC. Maybe we will cross paths sometime. Hope so
:wagon:
When we finally make our move this summer I'm gonna be about 10 miles from Simpsonville. So we will be almost neighbors.
They just opened a new Cabelas in Greenville a couple months ago. That will be convenient for you (and me).
Keep in touch.

Hey Neighbor,
Doris and I visited that Cabela's the other day. That's a great store. Funny how my vehicle just found it's way there.
A Bass Pro is also coming soon, I understand.
Will stay in touch.
Thanks,
Clark
