Shot this 21lb 3 or possibly 4 yr old last fri in NY.
Best part is thats me after 8 days of hard hunting. Getting up at 3 everyday.
my friend say I look dead.
I had a few buddies come up this year only for the weekend and on day 2 they said you do this for 9 days strait.
they were done on day 2.
Very nice,what area of NY?
Madison/chenango I hunt right on the borders.

You got that right. I would do all 30 days if life would allow it.
Great bird, congrats!
How long were his spurs?
Nice looking bird. Congrats...

Just shy 1 1/4.
And thanks guys.
Nice!
Congrats. He's a nice one.
It is a lot of early mornings. It almost makes you question your sanity after a while. Basically for the whole month of May, if I'm not tagged out, I'm up at either 3:45 for hunting or 5:30 for work. It's sad when 5:30 feels like sleeping in.

Funny, I get up for work at 4:30 as well and that's usually a kick in the pants
but my first day back is like a day off. I hunt with my dad and brother and after a week or so we get what we call the blind stares
were you are awake but your brain doesn't know it. Well one day after a 10 day turkey week
I was driving home and there was a dodge Durango in the medium.or rt 17 on its roof and a guy
in full camo standing next to it with this puzzled look on his face like WTF just happened. We looked at each other and said."blind stares" . Gotta be a turkey hunter. At least the guy was alright.
Congrats
good bird! congrats!
Congrats!!
Awesome bird. Now get some rest.
Nice bird! :icon_thumright:
:icon_thumright:. Way to go
Congrats!! Looks like a real nice gobbler!! And believe me i know the blind stare all too well. Nice to see a local story of success. I hunt otsego, madison, and oneida counties. Its been tough going the last couple of days with little to no gobbling but i think they'll gobble good tomorrow after all the rain today and with the cooler weather rolling in.

Gobbling was dead all week. Without the rain I would not have tagged this guy. Good luck tomorrow.
Congrats on a hard earned gobbler!!! I know that it sure felt nice to take a break and sleep in this morning. I'll be back after 'em for the next three days trying to help my cousin get a tag on one.

Thanks. Good luck in the morning. Hopefully you can hang a tag.
If you get this rain tonight I'd hit up a nice field first thing.
No gobbles in Oswego county either. Hoping tomorrow morning it changes.
