Title: Smoked birds
Post by: Spring_Woods on May 14, 2014, 12:24:42 PM
I was out this morning and after the same one my cousin and I were on this past Saturday morning. A coyote started yipping right before gobble time so I figured the morning was shot. To my surprise, he fired up a little further down than I was expecting, right on time.

He gobbled a little on the roost. Wasn't really setting the woods on fire or nothing. Flew down gobbled a few times here and there.

Funny, he didn't have any hens Saturday and I am assuming he didn't have any today because he gobbled decent on the ground both times but would not come in.

This is that time of the year we refer to the birds as being "smoked"!

Going out this weekend again for the last of the year. My cousin has a cow suit he wants to try out. I want to sooo badly video this. If we go through with it, it will be on YouTube!

He's not sure the cow suit is going to work but he's gonna try it on the last day!
