I had the opportunity to hunt some private land inn Southwestern Iowa this past week and the gobblers were hammerin. Took me a couple of days to figure out the terrain and the pattern of the birds but I did finally bag one last Friday. Nice bird, 27 lbs with a 10 1/4 inch beard and both spurs being a hair longer than one inch. Wasn't the boss gobbler of the property (nice one with three feathers missing in the middle of the fan) but was a real nice nice one.
Congrats. Love seeing Iowa hunters on here!
Nice bird. Congrats......
27lb? My goodness! Congrats
that's a toad
Fat off of the neighboring agriculture fields. I tell you though, it was a haul back to the truck that load on my back.
I'll bet it was a load to carry, congrats on a great bird.
