Title: Arkansas Public Land...Final Morning Success
Post by: Gumby on May 04, 2014, 08:07:00 PM
Last morning of Arkansas season and had a great hunt. 6:30am dad and I had three birds sounding off. Two way south down a mountain  and one to our east and a little closer. We ran close, sat up as quick as we could. The bird was across a deep and narrow ravine/creek. I set up about 20 yards in front of dad and let him do the callin' (thanks pops). Got the bird to fly across the ravine and landed pretty close. Gobbled two more times on his way in. Gave him a headache first chance I got. Awesome hunt.

Good job Doc!  I've yet to draw blood with my 37 yet...I've only hunted with it once this year...been rotating my 935 and 3500.   May take the 37 on a little expedition before work tomorrow.

Congrats...with Arkansas turkey populations at an all time low that quite an accomplishment.
