Title: Tag soup in SC
Post by: jlawson382 on April 30, 2014, 10:02:57 AM
Well, my second SC turkey season is coming to an end today, and my tags are still in my vest.  Add time constraints and weird weather to inexperience, and you get a nice big bowl of tag soup for this ol' boy.  If I had to come up with a lesson learned for this season, it's this: hunt closer to home.  With my hunt club's land being 2 hours and change away, scouting time is hard to come by, and there's no way to sneak in a hunt before work or roost one the night before a hunt.  Next year, I'll be another part of the mob out on the nearest public land, but at least I'll have time to do it right.  (Well, closer to right.)

Still beats sitting on the couch!

I'm right there with you.  For the first time ever, I had tag soup for Illinois' first season.  5th (and final) season comes in tomorrow.  I've got 2 5th season tags.  Hoping for a better outcome.
