After 4 days of probably one of the weirdest springs I have hunted I put a nice little jake to rest. The toms don't seem to want anything to do with hens or anything sounding like a hen, had eleven hens drop out of tree this morning and the tom dropped down and went opposite direction as all those hens by himself. Headed out for an afternoon hunt and as I was getting ready to pack up and call it a day I look and here come three jakes right at me, as the forecast is calling for 5 days of rain and with parental duties to attend to I decided to take one of them. Still have one tag left hopefully for a good upgrade for us.
