Title: SS Calls "Game Over" Series of Potcalls
Post by: letinmfly on April 26, 2014, 03:22:04 PM
I just received the first of this new line of calls from Al and Josh.  They are their new design of pots without a soundboard.  I received an aluminum, slate and glass call which is what they offer in these new calls.  As typical of SS Calls they sound fantastic!!
This year's pots are turned from Peruvian Walnut and they will be offered in a different wood each year.

How's that slate sound? Anything you can compare it to?

It has more of a glass sound and it is higher pitched and more rasp then your typical slate.
These calls all have a higher pitch which is what Al and Josh were looking to achieve in this new line.

The aluminum Game Over I ordered from Al and Josh at SS Custom Calls came in last week.  It goes from as quiet as I want to screaming loud and sounds great doing it.  Can't wait to break it in next Spring.
