Title: ANYONE HAVE A SOUTHEAST MISSOURI TURKEY REPORT????
Post by: SKFOOTER on April 21, 2014, 11:26:07 AM
I'm headed to southeast Missouri later this week for several days of turkey hunting, primarily in Wayne and Bollinger counties.    Has anyone got a report on the gobbling and the foliage in this area?

It's pretty green in Wayne where I hunted and the one bird I heard and killed was gobbling like his but was on fire

Hunted Stoddard county opening day. The woods are starting to green up. The birds gobbled like crazy early, but the hens ruled the day for me.

I hunt carter, Ripley, and Oregon county's and they are tearing it up. Really starting to gobble good after 8:30. The woods are trying to green up but still open. Birds are henned up but workable. Stick it out till mid morning and it may pay off.
