Had a great hunt!
Wounded warrior: 24lbs, 10.5inch beard, 1 inch spurs.
(me): 20lbs, 10.5 inch beard, 1 1/8inch spurs.
It's was his first turkey hunt, and my first long
Beard. Archery kills at that! Truly a hunt of a lifetime!

Good for you. My Wounded Warrior could not make it because his wife's family came for Easter. I went by myself. Pretty cold morning. Heard one but could not get him to come. Heard a shot close so think another hunter did a better job than me and the gobbler went to him. Hope he made the kill.
We hope to get Ryan out the week after next when we'll have a chance to get him on some private land.
Also thank your soldier for his service and sacrifice!

Congrats to all!
Thanks Gentlemen. It was awesome to share this journey with him. I am an active duty Army myself, and I was the Army nurse that received him off the flight line from Afghanistan last year hanging on to life. Like I said before, this was a hunt of life time and truly an honor.
Congrats, how did the decoy work , and did you use a blind, thank you for your service.
Congrats!!!

We were in a blind. We had a few decoys out, but they seemed to fixate on those 2. I had her squating and him approaching from behind her about 3 yards away. Didn't wait for them to make all the way to the decoys. Took the shots at 20yards
It was very slow at my spot on the southern shore.
Glad they did right for you.
Wow. Great birds! Your buddy's chair rocks too. I gotta tell my buddy about those. Have the same hat too, great rifle.
very nice
