Winchester is the way to go when it comes to lead IME.

If it's a 3" gun, the 1-7/8oz grey box loads or the 1-3/4oz HV loads in #6 are good shells.  If it's a 3.5, the HV 6s pattern well, but they kick terribly bad.

Reloader is in the know .I have used chokes as tight as .655 in my inv+ 22" bbl and still get good patterns but the 670-675 is hard to beat for hunting purposes.

I like the Winchester Supreme XX Mag 3-2-6 in my guns when not shooting hevishot.  They put up great numbers at 40 yards and I've killed lots of turkeys with them.

If your looking for a 3.5" shell they also load a 3.5-2.25-6 shell that I haven't tried but I imagine it would pattern great.

High Velocity is the only way to go with lead if you are going to shoot at 40 or 45 yards.
1300fps #6 or better if you can get it like you want it at 40!! :icon_thumright:
