HS Strut has inexpensive Collapsible foam decoys. Hen and Jake probably $60.00 retail. I picked up a pair this spring as loss leaders at local Cabela's for $30.00, where 2010 models. Very realistic looking. IMHO decoys are an attractant but could be intimidating in wrong scenario. I used one hen for years with good success. Turkey hunting and gear ARE an incurable addiction. Hope you have a great spring hunt.

I've killed plenty with a single hen - primos submissive hen.  And the flextone thunder chicken with a real fan.  I can't say that I've ever had a turkey look at my cheap decoys and decide they weren't realistic enough...  Everyone has their opinions though.

If you can find one, the Carrylite Pretty boy jr just caused the demise of my bird today!  Came in and beat the tar out of it!

There is a pretty boy jr and a primos jakemobile in the misc classifieds. I have the primos, too and it's a good one.

Sampsta,
You don't need a $100.00 decoy to kill a turkey. That like saying you can't kill a turkey using 2 2/3" shotgun shells? If I were you I would check e-bay for a decoy.

Bird i took down last year 19 lbs 9.25" beard was with a 20 ga 2/3 shells....i know i dont need to spend $$$$ to nail a bird...Maine birds are ..lol different than mass birds..were i live...im hopefull to figure out a good plan to put another bird in front of son # 1. He missed one last year....

Personally I just havent had much success with decoys so i believe its in my tactics. I hear stories on here, which i love about positive decoy combo's..so i apprecaite all the feedback
