Title: VA Opener
Post by: rdfirenut on April 12, 2014, 05:42:01 PM
Hey All,

I've been a member here for a little while. I don't post much but do a good bit of reading. My son and I enjoy all types of hunting, from mushrooms to coons.
I had read about the tungsten shot and knew that it would perform.
But now I KNOW!

My son killed this bird at 50yds with #8 tungsten with a RSF choke.
I didn't want to spend the money on a high dollar tube plus wanted
to be able to kill a bird at 35ish yards.
That bird was dead when it fell back on the leaves. Just awesome.
23# and 7/8" spurs and 9" beard.
This was his first bird called in and with a shotgun.
Thanks for a great site and for letting us share.
