Title: Ameristep Tom Taker II blind
Post by: Alaskan Hunter on April 09, 2014, 08:43:41 PM
Hello All,
I am thinking of purchasing a blind for spring turkey season in Ohio. A local sporting goods store has an Ameristep Tom Taker II. The price is good (100.00 dollars) I have looked at it closely. I have seen that the door is actually a large window. It is shorter that most blinds. But it is a hub style blind. The price is the main reason I am looking at this blind. I hunt public land. I don't want to buy a expensive blind like a double bull blind, only to have it stolen while I am running and gunning after a gobbler.
I am looking for comments from anyone who owns this model blind. Pros and cons. Would you buy it again?

Thanks
Alaskan Hunter

"I've used the Ameristep Brickhouse, BoneCollector and Dog house for Turkey. Successful with all three. The Dog House was used last year for my last Gobbler. Having open windows....<with having no netting>.... was not a problem....setting up 5 minutes before he rounded the road curve was not a problem. Folds up quick and easy....take it with you....or bag it....throw shats and leaves over it....and retrieve it later....."
