First let me say I glad to be part of a forum where you talk about turkey hunting. I am looking for a choke tube for a 20 gauge Mossberg 500. What tube and load is putting out the best patter at 40 yds?

Search around on the boards here. There are plenty of choke and shell combinations to look at. As far as chokes the Primos Tightwad, H&S Undertaker, Sumtoy, and Trulock are some good ones. Shells I like are Winchester Double X, Winchester Supremes, and Federal HW. I'm sure there are plenty more people can suggest though. I use the Undertaker (I have a ported and non-ported) in my 500 with Winchester Double X.

Welcome! I'm shooting a SumToy in my 870, and am very pleased. Search the 20ga.pattern forum for your gun and load you want to shoot and you should be able to find alot of example of the patterns folks are getting. Have fun, it's a blast!

A lot of guys on here are having good luck with the $20 primos tightwad and Federal heavyweight 7s.
