Title: stock and forearm for 870
Post by: bigquacks on March 18, 2014, 09:55:32 PM
I am in need of a new forearm and stock for my 870. they are both the original from when I bought the gun new in the mid 80's. The forearm is worn out from use over the years. I need to get a replacement soon as season starts next week. With a new job I haven't paid much attention to the gun until this evening and it is very bad. What would you guys suggest as far as replacements?

ATI adjustable is what I like. But I like a shorter length of pull.

I'd go with the ATI Akita adjustable hunting stock. http://www.atigunstocks.com

Doris and I have several of these stocks on 870s, 500s and other guns as well.

Thanks,
Clark

I'd stay with what your used to. Since you've been shootin that gun with original stock I would just stick with a factory remington stock

Nothing wrong with vintage equipment, sounds like it fits you pretty good.

If you are going to use it for mostly turkey or predators I would highly recommend the shur-shot stocks.  You can get them in black or camo and are perfect for a turkey gun set-up.
