Post by: hunter22 on March 18, 2014, 11:40:23 AM
Here are some pot calls made by Larry Gresser, Prairie Game Calls. Another great callmaker who is also a turkey killer. Top row, Zebrawood green aluminum, Claro Walnut glass, Cocobolo copper. Bottom row, Pink Ivory slate, Pink Ivory copper, burl Cherry slate. The strikers were also made by Larry.

Jimmy,

I was a pot call guy long before I even knew there was such a thing as a box call. Most mornings a pot is still the first call out of my vest. I taught myself how to run one. No idea what I was doing but killed two big gobblers with a Knight & Hale Double glass many years ago the first day I ever turkey hunted. I called one in that morning and killed it, went back that afternoon to the same place and killed another one. Can you say I was hooked.

You need to get some of those killer Albert Paul boxes out and start posting pics. You have some of the finest I have seen.

Rickey
You are right about pot calls. I've got two in my vest in Ms. They are killers for sure. I've got 3 Albert Paul boxes one wing bone and a 1 cane.
I have yet to hear a turkey in Ms.
