what do you guys keep your mouth calls while in the field do they make a case or anything
I don't use them anymore, but i kept them in a prescription bottle with a little scope mouth wash.
Think Quaker Boy might still make them, as well as Knight & Hale......sort of like a snuff box. comes with a small piece of foam, all you do is pour some Scope mouth wash onto the foam, and it keeps them fresh and from drying out. I keep the can in the fridge too.
I got a little 5 slot white plastic case, I got it from Wal-mart several years back. I think its called H.S.Strut 5pk Mouth Call case.
When I store them, I've always left them dry and then before/during season I'll use mouth wash to rinse them at the end of the day. I still get a sore throat though. Might have to try something stronger to wash them in.
Bought a multi pack few years back and it has enough room to carry 5-8.

I got four of the change case that primos makes. I have the one Quaker Boy sells that holds ten yelpers.
When using mouthwash to clean/rince your mouthcalls, buy the alchohol free kind. The alchohol degrades the latex over time.....if you do use regular listerine, rinse with cold water and let dry.
I personally like to toothpick the reeds and let them dry in some sort of open air case. The Primos case or the tethered call pocket on my Tactical Tater work great.

Same here.
I use one of the rubber squeeze coin holders; holds 3 or 4 mouth calls easily.
Empty Grizzly snuff can.
Someone should make a call wallet that holds the plastic jewel case with the call inside it rather than just the call.
The Primos Hook Hunter case is close to being right for me, but it won't take the plastic jewel boxes.

i've used a primos "no-lose" pouch, snap-top coin purse style for quite awhile
lost too many calls using the hs strut mouth call holder
usually in the snap case they come in and in my pocket with a toothpick between the reeds

This is my favorite. I have used a empty smokeless tobacco can too

I got the primos call case that holds up to 8 mouth calls really great can wear it around your neck or strap it to you thigh. I also like it has magnets to keep it closed no noise and they keep them nice and secure with plenty of breatheability for about 10 bucks. Hard to beat.
I just leave them in the plastic case and either throw them in my pocket or in my vest.

what is this called looks interesting or where to buy
The Double Deuce Diaphragm Pack by hunters specialties. It only holds two calls though. The one i have actually hold 5 i think but i have been unable to find who manufactured it is actually a elk diaphragm holder but same design as this one + camo. I like these caddies they allow your call to breathe and dry between hunting setups and hang around your neck. No more cracked plastic cases in your pocket or calls sliding out of your pocket and getting lost.

+1; I camo taped it up, and drilled vent holes in the top & bottom to let air get to the calls.

Same here, works great !
I normally carry 7 or so mouth calls in a call wallet, like the one primos makes. I use it to store the calls in the fridge in the off season as well. During the hunt I'll take a dry call out of the call wallet and use it, after use I'll put a reed seperator between the reeds and put it in my hs strut call pouch. It has seperate pockets and is breathable. After the hunt I'll wash the used calls dry them and after they are completely dry ill put a little talcum powder on the reeds and put them back with the dry calls in the call wallet.(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/20/5ygy4y8a.jpg)

Hey eddie234, where'd you get all those Primos plastic separators? 2 came with one of their calls, but I'd like to get some more. Let me know! Thx, BGD
a couple things that work great for reed separators are the prongs off a plastic fork or plastic coated paper clips :icon_thumright:
