What grit for crystal surface. I was talking with a gentleman last night. Forgot what he recommended.

I use a 120 grit drywall sanding screen on my glass and crystal surfaces.

Frankly, a stone works MUCH better.  I have a couple stones from Halloran and they give a very controlled and even conditioning that requires less maintenance.
