It was a tough weekend for everyone where I was at. Don't think they're going yet, and it was windy and there was a full moon as well. I think next weekend gonna be better!

A buddy and I each killed 1  and his dad missed one. I also know of eight other birds killed in my area of Northwest Florida. It was hit or miss this weekend either people had them hammering or did not hear a bird the weather was pretty bad.

Birds were on fire this past Friday around Okeechobee. My dad and I both killed one.

I didn't have any place to hunt in FLA on the opener. So I drove up Saturday night to my lease in SC and it hasn't stopped raining yet.

Got an 11" beard! was probably my best bird. Killed him around 11:30 which was a first for me. Very happy about that bird.

No luck in herre in alachua county. Didn't hear any gobbling. Had 3 good gobblers within 100 yards, but there was 20 or more hens with them.
I saw two good ones killed just down the road. One had an 11" beard and 1.5" spurs. Hunters said neither bird gobbled.
